We return to a great quiz - given a major worldwide landmark, can you correctly identify where you would find it? Things will start to ramp up a little in difficulty this time, with some perhaps slightly more obscure landmarks when compared to our first quiz, but I have no doubt you will be able to take the clues given and be able to pick the correct location successfully!
The Sagrada Familia is an ongoing religious building that has been under construction for the last 150 years. Designed by Antoni Gaudi, this incredible structure comprised of multiple spires and incredible Gothic detailing is actually likely to finally be completed next year
The Alamo is a Spanish mission, and fortress, built in the 18th century that was the site of the battle of the same name in 1836. Giving too many details about the battle itself would likely reveal its location, but the building was a pivotal part of the revolution in which it was utilised
An ivory-white marble mausoleum constructed by an emperor to house his beloved wife, the Taj Mahal is an iconic building that many people around the world would be able to easily picture its dome and Minarets flanking it. Sitting on beautiful grounds along a river, with a reflecting pool stretching out in front of it, this is another building worthy of consideration as a wonder of the world
A colossal stratovolcano with a well-known history, Mount Vesuvius is the volcano which claimed Pompeii in 79 AD. It has erupted many times since, and is considered one of the most dangerous volcanos in the world, as it is still active with over three million people likely to be affected, should it have a major eruption again
An ancient citadel sitting atop a rocky outcrop overlooking an equally ancient city, the Acropolis is a must-see for any visitor to the city. Truthfully, an acropolis is simply the upper part of any ancient city of this particular culture, but this particular one is perhaps the most iconic, with the temple of the Parthenon immediately jumping to mind
The Blue Mosque is an Ottoman-era mosque, comprised of a huge central dome and 6 minarets and is one of the many incredible historic sites within the city it resides
Table Mountain is a prominent landmark overlooking a major city - this distinct mountain lives up to its name, with its dramatic cliff-like sides leading to a very flat top
The Fushimi Inari Shrine is likely one that even if you don't recognise the name, you have more than likely seen a picture of it. This Shinto shrine is probably best known for its Torii path, the orange/red arches and lanterns
Finally, a collection of gorgeous ruins sits atop a mountain, but Machu Picchu is so worth the hike. This 15th-century Incan citadel is a bucket list item for many
