England A–Z Navigation

Do you think you know your way around England? You'd better see if you can follow these directions and end up in the right place! Today we're starting our tour of the UK with an England-specific test of your road knowledge, we're starting off reasonably easy, we give you a starting city, some navigation instructions to follow, and all you need to do is correctly identify the city you end up in. Sound simple? As long as you know your roads, you'll nail it! I'm sure some of you long-distance drivers will only need look at the final motorway junction exit or A-road to know where you are, but to help I have given rough distances and routes taken from start to finish, just to give the rest of us a fighting chance...

Departing from London along the M1, junction 1, you will need to head roughly 37 miles north, beyond Hemel Hempstead and Luton, before departing the M1 at Junction 13, before following the A421 to the city outskirts - where are you?
